I understand the rule allowing one to split tickets using one season and one non-season ticket, and being able to travel on a train that does not stop at the station where the split occurs.
My query is, can you have one of the tickets as First Class and one as standard, particularly a First Class season, and second class normal ticket?

Fun question. I can't imagine that it wouldn't be allowed if you sat in standard class throughout the entire journey, or moved from First to Standard at the last station called at prior to the split station.
