If I buy through Stagecoach's website a "Megarider" ticket that has to be loaded onto a smartcard, when does the validity period start? Is it when I buy it, when the smartcard is delivered (I don't have a Stagecoach Smart card already so presumably will have to order one), or do I have to activate it somehow?

In their frequently asked questions, it has the following:

When will I receive my StagecoachSmart card?
After you buy your ticket online, we'll pop your free StagecoachSmart card in the post. It'll get to you within 3-5 days. Your ticket will be loaded onto your card when you first use it.

If you're buying your card on the bus for £1, you'll get it right then and there.

In their frequently asked questions, it has the following:

Ah, I looked through that page but missed that. So tapping in on the bus activates the ticket then?

This leads to a second question. If there are multiple tickets on the same card (which the website says is allowed), can I use them in sequence - e.g. buy three 7-day tickets and use them one after the other for a total of 21 days of validity? Or would I end up activating all three the first time I tapped in, thus paying three times for the same 7 days (which is obviously not what I want)?

If it works the same way as Go-Ahead's Key Card, you tell the driver which ticket to activate (or they may ask).
