Stations with post boxes on station property.

Lewes has a post box inside the station. It is on the footbridge after you go through the gateline. So every day the postman has to be let through the gateline to empty it. It is an interesting place for a post box but it has been there for decades. This has me wondering which other stations have a post box on station property? Can anyone think of any others?

There's one at Bristol Temple Meads just by the main gateline (next to the wheelchair exit). It's wedged into the wall.

Platform 1 at Stoke on Trent, just as you walk on from the main entrance, under the war memorial arch, past the gateline.

Fairly sure there are still a couple of small postboxes at the top of the stairs up to both platforms 1+2 and 3+4 at Stockport station.

It might be a good idea to limit this to Postboxes on stations after the gateline (or where you would need a ticket), otherwise it might be a long list.
For example, Three Bridges has a postbox just outside. And, admittedly on a preserved railway, Sheffield Park, Horsted Keynes and Kingscote all have boxes on the outside wall of the ticket office.

Rugby has postboxes on both platforms 2&4 though I think one of them is sealed shut.

Stockport has I think got two postboxes, on the island platforms 3 and 4, and 1 and 2, by the stairs into the subway, which I see has already been posted!

Guildford platform 2 by the water fountain and toilets, there is a disused postbox with a plank nailed over the letter slot. (Hopefully someone checked it was empty before nailing it shut!)

There was one in Paddington that supposedly allowed items posted to fall down to the level below. It looked like a normal postbox near platform 10 near what became WH Smith. The mail trains were un/loaded nearby via hatches in the platform so it seems possible though I can't remember who told me that.

Would these originally have been emptied by the staff on the TPOs etc?
No, they were completely separate. The postboxes normally had strict collection times around 17:00-18:00 so well before any TPO staff came on duty. Separate department too. Posting was however permitted in the letter box on the side of TPOs whilst in the platform.

I don’t recall that if I’m honest. Many used to do it for the post mark especially towards the end.

There was an extra charge - even recalling posting a letter onto the "Haughley Mail" at Ipswich ! (that was in the last century)
