Stolen Bridge near Algodor, Toledo in Spain

A few miles from Toledo in Spain someone stole a steel railway bridge.

Astonishing... unless it was an experiment - which could have turned out very expensively!

But it does show you just how good and strong the steel in rails is. I guess the sleepers and chairs keeping the rails vertical must have helped a bit, but all the same...

Did the Spanish Highways Agency remove the bridge as it was dangerous and not tell anyone?
