SWR Tap2Go problems still

Does anyone have any clear idea of what is happening with SWR's Tap2Go?

I did a single journey from Waterloo to Basingstoke on last Friday evening. Tapped in and tapped out. Nothing is recorded in my journey history. SWR have sent out a general email about problems, mainly focussed on incomplete journeys. This isn't new! They confessed to problems at Waterloo not long ago. I was caught by that but, with help from this Forum, got that cleared. I'm a bit concerned that SWR gets deprivatised on Sunday, and a straightforward transfer of accounts and liabilities must be part of that.

Coincidentally they recently awarded me a refund for an unused Smartcard ticket, but I haven't actually got the funds back yet.

Your post encouraged me to check and my journey from Eastleigh to Portsmouth was auto-completed last Wednesday. I don't recall actually being told there are general issues still - just the occasional shouty email that I didn't touch in / out (umm, I did!)

I hadn't really thought of your point. Maybe I'd better buy a paper ticket for Saturday!

I understand there are still issues with the Tap2Go as part of a recent backend Smartcard upgrade that has take place, I might guess that the issues you're seeing is part of this.

I have a single afternoon journey from Farnborough to Basingstoke due today, at the end of a day's travelling and walking. My phone might be rather low on battery then, as I use it for OS maps navigation. My preference in terms of ticket buying simplicity would be to use Tap2Go again. I'll report on how it goes!

Edited addition on Friday 23 May:

I couldn't use Tap2Go again yesterday as I was on a potential split ticket and decided to get from Guildford to Farnborough via Woking (on an existing "normal" ticket). However, I did get an email from SWR telling me my previous Friday journey had at last been charged for.
