Hi guys

Got an interview this week with SWT for MB2 shunter.

I did assessments last time for an RO2, and this time I have to do a comms test as it wasnt required for an RO2, but it is for a MB2.

Anyone have an idea what it is/entails?

Much appreciated
Janie

Hi,

I passed the tests a few weeks ago and the comms test is listening to a recorded message from a train driver, taking down all the important details in note form in an allotted time before reading them aloud to the assessor. You get to listen to the message twice and have to give the info they are looking for accurately.

Best of luck with it!

driver of a train hits fiesta on a level crossing, You have to pass the relevant info on to control keep it short and sweet the fiesta is red but they dont need to know this for example.

include in your report your train head code including time and to from i.e pad to pz , area , name of crossing , anydamage to train what emergency services u need anyone injured

ignore any uselss info like car color , thinking its children or stolen the facts apply----- Where u are , what has happened what needs to happen---- .

good luck

It went really well, they was really intrested/pleased with my railway knowledge/terminolgy, and the fact my dad works on the railway was a hit.

The comms test was spot on, appeantly I might be one of the only people who have got all the important parts, and none of the unimportant.
