Metro nearly derailed at Chilli Road

/u/Remote-Pool7787 on /r/NewcastleUponTyne

Train hit something on the track on the approach to chilli Road towards St James, wobbled around. Managed to get into the station. Sat here waiting to see what happens. Driver says it’s a bit of metal from another train

The train was examined and found to have no issues and subsequently brought back into service.

For the benefit of everyone else - 'Chilli Road' is Chillingham Road.
