All too often posts apepar on this forum with the following appendix:

"Sent from my ---------- using Tapatalk"

A few examples:

http://www.railforums.co.uk/showpost.php?p=953620&postcount=41
http://www.railforums.co.uk/showpost.php?p=949307&postcount=58
http://www.railforums.co.uk/showpost.php?p=947175&postcount=12
http://www.railforums.co.uk/showpost.php?p=936448&postcount=6

What exactly is Tapatalk? Is it some kind of add-on for a Smartphone or something?

Please elaborate...

P.S.: Apologies to those whose posts have been "swiped" for this.

Its a smartphone App that many of us use to browse the forum. I find it better than the 'official' App.

That signature is posted automatically when you use the free App. When you pay the £1.69 (well it was when I purchased it) it disappears and you can't tell what it was posted from.

iPhone requires pinching in and out all the time, and it loads all the themes/avatars etc.

Tapatalk is minimal, everything reconfigured for browsing on a phone and lots of things are easier, ie rather than having to navigate to send PMs a simple hot button will do it.

It is rare I browse the forums on my computer now, it is almost always done on the go via Tapatalk.

I use the mobile web version, mainly because the app doesn't have the direct access to new posts.

Click the link in post #7 to fix it (although it might override your skin preference).

If I'm out and about I tend to use the app for a quick check, or if I'm on a long journey I use the wonders of a mobile internet dong and my laptop.
