I've just noticed, from another thread, that CrossCountry are introducing a temporary timetable from Saturday 10 August until Saturday 9 November. Does anyone know more about this? Was this a CrossCountry idea, or was it told to do something by the DfT?

And what will happen on Sunday 10 November - will they be back to running their published timetable?

I thought things were improving, with some of the Reading - Newcastle's back, and promise of a near pre-covid timetable next summer, so feels like a big step backwards.
