Missed out this time. The ad was pulled before I managed to get myself in front of a computer to apply.

Best of luck, let me know how it goes. Have you managed to speak to anyone already in post with regards what the day to day duties would be, particularly as it’s now been announced that Crossrail is delayed again ? I’d be interested to know the shift pattern in particular .

I looked at this but I've got the essentials that were listed. Missed it last time 2017 by a couple of months

Interesting . There’s something a bit unusual about this role that concerns me a little..... I’m on LinkedIn and the number of ‘ Former Crossrail IRM’s’ on there is a bit of a concern. Considering that Crossrail isn’t even up and running yet, it either means they’ve already been made redundant or the role is so bad that loads have already jumped ship . Quite odd.

Hi- I've got an interview for this next week. Is anyone going to the Open day tomorrow? I'm hoping to be able to find out more about it then, lots of important info that doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere on the website ‍♂️

Crossrail is up and running. Services run from Liverpool St - Shenfield and Paddington - Heathrow. Will be going from Paddington - Reading in Decemeber. It's only the central core that's not operational yet.

Are you sure Crossrail run from Paddington to Heathrow? I work for GWR and only know of the Heathrow Express out of Paddington ( which we run) and the TFL service that stops at various stations between Paddington and Heathrow.

Tfl rail is crossrail. Once the route is fully open it will then be known as the Elizabeth line.

How did the Open Day go Dan? Any useful info?
Yeah very useful... don’t think it’s gonna be for me due to the shift pattern due to childcare..also it’s full of what ifs at the moment as the line isn’t running yet.. Plus the shift will change once there are passengers.. One thing that did put me off is that there isn’t any parking for staff so travel will be by train
