First of all apologies if this has become up before; I did do a search
I've often wondered why Glasgow Queen Street is so named, when it sits between North Hanover Street, West George Street, George Square, Dundas Street and Bath Street. Yes it's near Queen Street, but that lies about a 90m walk on George Square away. I appreciate that Glasgow North Hanover Street Station would be a bit of a mouthful, but why not Glasgow George Square or something like that? Anyone know?
