I am travelling from Scarborough to Bamber Bridge this Saturday but plan to go to Clitheroe for a couple of hours on the way, changing at Blackburn and on the way back from Clitheroe break my journey at Blackburn and travel to Bamber Bridge for a few hours before returning to Blackburn to get the train back home. The cheapest pricing I can find is the below as it is cheaper than booking Scar-Bamber.

2 adults travelling on 2 together railcard.

Scarborough to Clitheroe off peak day return via Burnley Manchester Road £48.00 total

Blackburn to Bamber Bridge off peak day return £6.40 total

Can anyone tell me if this is ok to do under the Break of Journey on the off peak tickets.

Thanks

That doesn't seem to exist.

If you mean the off peak day return then there don't seem to be any break of journey restriction on it.

More generally in my experiance one rarely if ever sees break of journey restrictions on off peak day returns. They are more common on off peak returns as the peak restriction on those are far more variable and hence there is far more scope for loophole fares.

Sorry I meant off peak day return, I have edited the post.
That's good about the break of journey. Thanks

The itinerary you propose seems o.k. (unless anyone on here considers otherwise) and a slightly cheaper combination than buying Scarborough ->Bamber Bridge (total = £55.90) and Blackburn->Clitheroe CDR day tickets (total = £5.80) with the Two Together railcard discount.
