Hi all.
I am a Driver for a London TOC and have considered moving up north because of family commitments.
I have been looking at East coast/Northern region (Doncaster and up) but can only find little info on Depots which are for drivers.

Could someone point me in the direction where I could find out where drivers along the East Coast are based.

I have seen that Leeds/Doncaster is for East Coast, Newcastle has East Coast and Northern (I think), and Sunderland have Grand Central.

I could not find anything about York (Which would be my #1 choice to move to).

Ideally, areas what Id favour would be:
York
Leeds
Harrogate
Doncaster
Pontefract

Basically along the A1/M1.

Many thanks for any input received :)

Hi, information I've found on this site: http://www.traindriver.org/train-operating-companies-depots--contact-details.html

So far we have:
Crosscountry: Leeds
Grand Central: Sunderland and Bradford
Virgin East Coast: Doncaster and Leeds
Northern: Leeds, Skipton, Ilkley, Huddersfield, Darlington, Doncaster, Hull and York.
First Transpennine Express: York and Scarborough
First Hull Trains: Hull

Or if your looking for the freight sector as well:
Freightliner (Intermodal): Leeds
Freightliner (Heavy Haul): Doncaster, Ferrybridge and Aire Valley, Leeds
DB Schenker: Doncaster, Healey Mills (Near Wakefield), Knottingley,
DRS: York
GBRailfreight: Doncaster

Hope this helps.

No longer a depot at Ilkley, but there is a Northern depot at Harrogate.

Galvanise, you superstar!
Thank you for that bulk of info. I'm not ready just yet to start putting my application out there, but at least I can start looking at the right TOCs for the righe areas.
I was more interested in passenger service, rather than freight at the moment.

MartinG, thank you too. I'll look towards northern rail as well.
