It would be unreasonable to expect him to divulge his source, but he'd already said "Fleet Control decision to stop the mk5a temporary" (sic).

At York tonight, the 23:39 to Manchester (which is the return working of 1E51) was shown on the station departure boards as being 3 cars. I didn't hang around to check if it was true!

October saw the Nova 3 sets run in excess of 30 000 miles. Prior to the temporary withdrawal on Wednesday, only one service had been delayed ‘due to a fault with the train’. Information has been taken from TPE Journey Check. I have no ‘inside’ knowledge, so I’m happy to be corrected by anyone who has

Sunday saw the first TPE operated Nova 3 runs after the sets were temporarily withdrawn from service on the Wednesday. The crew training runs between Scarborough and York appeared to be for drivers only.

Many thanks for pointing out that this is an old schedule.

Looks like a replacement schedule is now in place - with a different Headcode and UID, so the RTT link no longer works, whilst the other link still works, but is out of date.

68027 and 68030 are in service today. There is some disruption however due to flooding between Eccles and Earlestown. 1F62 (68030) was terminated at Man Vic and the return service, 1E39, will start from Man Vic after polishing the rails in Eccles loop.
