Trenitalia couchette ticket types

Hello.

I'm looking at booking on a Trenitalia overnight train for 2 people on the Italirail web site (which the Man in Seat 61 recommends over the trenitalia one).

I can choose two places in a 4 person couchette, or for another £25 I can have a "2 person couchette."

The wording is "2 berths in a shared room (partially booked cabins will be shared with other passengers)...."

Despite the rather odd wording, I assume that this is offering exclusive use of (presumably a 4 person) couchette for the two of us because I can't think what else it means.

Then again, the Trenitalia site doesn't even seem to offer this option for that train (thought I thought it did earlier today).

So I'm rather confused.

Can anyone help?

Yes, going by the TI website it is a 4-berth couchette sold as a 2-berth private cabin. It isn't available for solo bookings. I presume it is a Covid/post-peak-Covid thing.

The bit in brackets is probably carried over from the blurb for normal couchettes, so can be ignored.

It's "now" also appeared on the Trenitalia web site. Or I missed it last time...
