Not sure if I've put this in the right category but has anyone had any experience of the above?

An advert for their app came up on social media tonight.

I was intrigued, haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but how genuine is it and are the prices as competitive as train split?

I can't tell you about prices but it seems to be the third most popular app after Trainline and Trainpal. I wouldn't recommend it though, the user interface seems to be difficult to navigate and I seem to spend half of my life looking at a loading screen when I ask to see a ticket.

Popular app, lures people in with cheap offers on railcards, etc.

Nightmare of a user interface.

Would not recommend.

I'd second the above, I don't use it, but I'm forever trying to help passengers navigate it, trying to find your Railcard on it is like an endurance test.

I’ve been using it recently. I had a 10% Amex rebate. Whilst it didn’t always add in splits as one booking and the adding in of seat reservations when not wanted, I have found it rather simple and easy to use. I have a digital railcard too and not had any failures there.
There is also often promo codes too.

I have been selecting tickets to collect from machines and the one I wanted as an e-ticket, I could add to Apple Wallet. No problem there and a on board conductor was able to print off a bunch of my tickets.

their status scheme does seem rather complicated, they will be keen to sell hotel and add on to save money, but from a rail point of view, they add on a number of times you can cancel and refund a ticket in app (helpful if you have paid less than the others that offer fee refund)

Further thoughts:
  • Split tickets present in the app in a completely illogical order.
  • Railcards are a nightmare to find/load.
  • Last couple of weeks I’ve started to notice that you get a loading symbol over the (fully loaded) Aztec code on tickets for what feels like forever whilst waiting to scan a ticket.
  • Adverts everywhere, in your face, inconsiderate timings.
  • It’s a nightmare.

Yep - I wouldn't really recommend it, and I say that as someone who's got my Digital Railcard on the Trip.com app (and for the second year running!) - I've only bought from them as they had (and still have) an offer for around a third off the cost of a Railcard, albeit with a hoop to jump through. So yes basically a bit of a deal with the devil, but I wouldn't buy travel tickets or anything else from Trip.com.

Whenever travelling by train I load up the Digital Railcard page in the Trip.com app in advance and keep it open in the background, so I have it available for quick and easy inspection. But really it shouldn't be such a faff.

Railcards on the Trip.com app are not easy to find when you need them in a rush - they're four clicks into the app. Also the quality of the English in their customer comms is not good. It makes me concerned that level of quality might be the same in their systems or procedures.

First para of the Ts&Cs: you are buying from a Singapore company. (actually bits all over that end of Asia, I thought it was mainland chinese-owned but I could be wrong).

Buying from pretty well anyone else, Raileasy say, and it's a UK company. Even with Trainline your contract is with a UK company (although french-owned).

If you have a problem, why choose to have to argue it under Singapore law?
