Hi,

I've been trying to work out how to find the Tyne and Wear Metro lines on traksy and the like but I've been unable to.

Does anyone know of any sites that show these services on map/signal diagrams please?

Thank you

If you do a search for Sunderland on signal map sites, you should find the Sunderland line that that Metro shares with National Rail - the Metros will appear on the signal maps between Pelaw Metro Junction and South Hylton with 2Ixx headcodes. Unfortunately, the rest of the network will not appear on these sites.

Thank you - do you know of any particular reason why some of the network shows and not the rest please? Was mainly after Newcastle Central Metro through Haymarket etc.

Network Rail make the data for their infrastructure available for use by sites like Traksy. Nexus don’t, which is why Tyne & Wear Metro trains can only be (publicly) tracked whilst on Network Rail owned infrastructure.

If you were simply after a track plan for the rest of the network there are various ones available, although they’ll likely show the old layout at Gosforth depot rather than the new one.
