Does anyone know if any of the cash accepting TVMs will accept banknotes from, Scotland (all three banks), Northern Ireland (all three banks), Jersey, Guernsey, Isle Of Man, Gibraltar, Falkland Islands, Saint Helena, etc?

I ask as i came across this page recently:

This says that banknotes from many of these other parts of the UK are acceptable (although a bit out of date as the "Allied Irish Banks" banknotes mentioned were withdrawn and ceased being valid earlier this year and the "Northern Bank" changed to "Danske Bank" quite a while ago) so it makes me wonder if TVMs take these.

I am pretty sure all TVMs do NOT accept 1p coins or 2p coins or £50 banknotes so i would be surprised if they took these.

I would presume the Scotrail TVMs should at least take all the Scottish ones? Presumably the Translink TVMs (which are only found at Glider stops) should at least take the Northern Irish ones? But do any English and Welsh TOCs TVMs (or even LU or any of our metro and tram networks) take any of the other ones?

Whilst on this subject does anyone know why do TVMs not take 1p coins and 2p coins? I can understand £50 banknotes as many shops refuse these but 1p coins and 2p coins seems very unusual? All supermarket checkout machines take these so surely it is not a software issue?

Have found in the past that Manchester Metrolink TVMs didn't ever accept Scottish banknotes (the recently discontinued paper versions) nor 1p or 2p coinage.

LU machines take Scottish notes.

Some LU machines don't take 5p, these are mostly the type that are built into the wall at tube stations. If you refund an Oyster with a balance that is not a multiple of 10p, it gets rounded up.

A SouthEastern TVM at London Bridge wouldn't take a Scottish tenner off me a while back.

The last three are not accepted and they, along with Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man, are not part of the UK.

The Edinburgh ones even recycle them to give in change
Only RBS notes are recycled.
