I saw a railtour passing yesterday headed by a 37 with Mk 1 coaches and a Cl20 on the rear plus something in London Transport livery. A search brought nothing up. Anyone care to enlighten me? This was on GWML heading west.
Vintage Trains' preserved class 37 locomotive, No. 37240, worked a private London Paddington to Cardiff Central charter, the Investec Zebra Express with two class 20 locomotives, Nos. 20142 and 20189 on the rear. After arrival at Central, the train reversed with the 20s leading the empty stock back to Pengam Sidings for stabling, where they are seen arriving.
Was running for the European Rugby Champions Cup final, being played at the Principality stadium that day. Investec are title sponsors of the tournament (it's officially the Investec Champions Cup).Private tour put on by South African bank Investec. Operated by Vintage trains with 37240 on one end and 20189 and 142 on the rear. Went from London to Cardiff and back.
Anyone got a link to the relevant outward and return workings on Realtime Trains, or similar?
You'll also find the outward ECS Tyseley to Paddington (class 20 hauled) and return ECS Paddington to Tyseley (class 37 hauled) on real-time trains. Just look up STP at Paddington around the departure and arrival times and they'll be on there.Anyone got a link to the relevant outward and return workings on Realtime Trains, or similar?
