Hi folks,

I'm correct in thinking that due to the recent cyber attack, expired 11-15 photocards can still be used as they were allowed to previously? I'm 16 and my card expired in September, but I'm travelling to London on Sunday. Will my travel be completely free? And I assume you need to be manually let through ticket barriers, does this not take some time/ is an inconvenience? Does anyone have any experience of this, are all gates manned and is someone always easy to find?

Thanks in advance!

The TfL website says:

Children with expired 5-10 or 11-15 Zip Oyster photocards can continue to travel on TfL and National Rail services (where normally accepted) until Tuesday 31 December 2024 by showing their photocard to staff. This includes 16-year-olds whose 11-15 Zip Oyster photocard expired on 30 September 2024.
