Hello,
Does anybody know how long it should take to get from Vicarage Road to King's X? I'm planning to go and see Newcastle away there on Saturday and the trains around 18:30 are a good price, is this doable?

Google Maps is suggesting around 50 minutes with a 17:08 start from the stadium, walking to Watford High Street for the 17:20 Overground service to Watford Junction and then the 17:30 London Midland service to Euston, which gives you around 45 minutes to get from Euston to Kings Cross.

We walked from Vicarage Road to Watford Jn after a game last season and were at Watford Jn by 17.30. It's a fair walk but so long as you are reasonably mobile getting to Kings Cross by 18.30 should be possible.

Assuming you are let out on the final whistle you should make it.

It is about 25/30 minutes to Watford Junction on foot and I doubt a cab would help as the area will be busy with all you bar codes hanging about ;)

High Street is closer but the overground service to Euston is slow
