So I got up this morning and none of our virgin media services (wifi, TiVo, landline) were working. This was at 07:30. When I came home they were working however we've been loosing them intermittently ever since. I was wondering has anyone else had this problem (I'm in Manchester of its a regional thing) and does anyone know why? Thanks in advance :D

I think it's the extra o that causes it

I did smile :)

VM's Traffic Shaping would not affect landline telephone or TV services.

But, anyway, I'd be checking VM's status page and the VM fora for information about the issue.

I am in Birmingham and they upgraded and rewired the street box on Wednesday and things have not been the same since. Got an engineer coming out on Monday. Neighbours are suffering similar issues with some phones not working either

Checked the service status page thanks never knew it existed :D known problems for all three services mentioned so hopefully should be working soon. guess there was a network failure or something if it affects all 3

Must be just a Regional thing as we have been fine all day as far as I know. We're in Nottingham by the way.

Sky don't use traffic shaping. It will either be a fault on your line, or Sky have connected more people to the exchange than they have backhaul capacity for (something that have been quite guilty of lately). If it is the latter it will be fixed in a few months when they get round to adding extra capacity.

Yeah, I know that. I should have separated my sentences better

Have had several intermittent connection problems for quite a time now; On Demand "unavailable", no internet access... Sometimes, for the latter, we have to turn off and on our new-fangled "Super Hub" (since we already have had a firewall/router and wi-fi base station for some time, it's set to the "cable modem only" mode) - other times it's been a case of sitting it out or calling Virgin Media.

We here are supposed to be just some of the beneficiaries of this multi-billion broadband upgrade, but so far all I've seen are these fluctuating periods of unreliability...
