I saw a litter picker at my local station, and as well as the standard litter picking gear she was also using one of those wheels on a stick you use to measure distance, or at least I assume that's what it was. But of course correct me if I am wrong!
I am assuming - but of course correct me if I am wrong! - that this is being used by her supervisor to check she actually did walk the distance she should have done.
I am also assuming - but of course correct me if I am wrong! - that the rail unions would not stand for that if it was something standard
I am also assuming - but of course correct me if I am wrong! - that the employed litter pickers would be represented by rail unions.
I am therefore assuming - but of course correct me if I am wrong! - that she was doing community service.
Lots of assumptions above as you can see. Am I correct about them all? Any of them? Any idea what this lady was doing? The station is one on Thameslink btw.
