Hi all,

I noticed this morning on my Northern service at around 08:00 this morning we were held outside Heaton Chapel, Levenshulme and Manchester Piccadilly itself for 15-20 mins, along with several Pendolinos. Does anyone recall what the issue was? It looks like it lasted 90 minutes-2 hours of disruption.

I think I noticed bridge bash appear earlier, but that could be wrong.

That should read Alma Road which has a low headroom (11ft 3ins) arched bridge, running below the four track Stockport to Manchester Piccadilly railway line, just to the South of Levenshulme station.

Incident 'cleared' just after 10 a.m. this morning it seems.
