WCML Euston - Milton Keynes Disruption(?) 19/10/2021

Hi,

Does anyone know what happened on the WCML this morning to cause delays to almost every service in/out of Euston? Even right now there are some Milton Keynes services calling only at Euston, Watford and Bletchley.

Long delays from Watford Junction after person hit by train

Watford train services have been disrupted after a person was hit by a train this morning (Tuesday, October 19).

Watford train services have been disrupted after a person was hit by a train this morning (Tuesday, October 19).

The incident has occurred at Headstone Lane station between Watford Junction and London Eustion stations.

National Rail confirmed the person had been hit by the train around 8.40am.
The railway operator said this morning: "A person has been hit by a train between Watford Junction and London Euston. As all lines are currently closed, trains may be cancelled or diverted until approximately 11:15."

There was also an incident on the Trent Valley section of the WCML were the signalling was lost briefly and lots of services were getting cancelled or sent via Birmingham New Street as a result.
