Based on cleanliness, location and the station it’s self what’s the worse in Hampshire and why ?
Yh it’s so good for changing as you can go on the line to weymouth , lymington pier , Portsmouth , london Waterloo , Brighton , london Victoria , Manchester Piccadilly and many more but the station it’s self needs a revamp and even know it’s got a decent shopping centre round the corner it’s just not the best.Southampton central isn’t too nice
Convenient for a city but isn’t really up to scratch.
Tbh its about time as not only is it a horrible look For locals but also work commuters , tourists etc. it’s never not busy especially when Southampton are home and when the cruise ships are in. But everytime I’ve been there for a day out or to change it’s always heaving with crowds. The Southampton Central southern side forecourt is about (in the next year) to get a lot nicer, which a better protected interchange, bigger dwell area, higher quality materials including new floor, and easier pedestrian routes
The actual station needs an overhaul (southern side entrance excepted), and indeed we were promised a £6m (iirc) investment into the station as part of SWR's bid, which never materialised.
Millbrook: cold, empty and depressing. Though I wouldn’t recommend Hilsea, Portchester or Swaythling either.
Hamble is a pretty featureless station tooMillbrook: cold, empty and depressing.
We’ll possibly one day money will be thrown into these station to upgrade them.Southampton is good for location (and services) but the overall feel is a bit underwhelming for a city of its size.
Definitely agree that the two main Portsmouth stations need a revamp, particularly Harbour, which also needs an entrance directly to the busy Gunwharf Quays development - which seems to have replaced the former main shopping area in terms of footfall (as least on my rather unscientific personal observation on recent visits to Portsmouth!).
Agreed.Hamble is a pretty featureless station too
Yh is easier getting bus tbf.Another vote for Millbrook - sandwiched between the arterial A33 and the industrial port plots. Only went to it once and wouldn't recommended - just get the bus to Central instead.
A lot of them stations mentioned are in horrible area ❌North Camp in Rushmoor (Farnborough/Aldershot borough) is only just Hants, but a not very nice station in inclement weather
I mean, Rushmoor itself isn’t particularly nice, yes.A lot of them stations mentioned are in horrible area ❌
Certainly, although it’s unfortunate Basingstoke doesn’t have more stations for local transport purposes, a lot of the prospective locations would be in areas where anti social behaviour would be an issue.I guess everywhere has their good and bad areas.

The Reading bound platform at North Camp at least has the canopy and original building, though no enclosed waiting area (the building is now a dentist!). The Guildford platform is very exposed, as you say, with a tiny shelter, which is way too small for the level of patronage. It's also a long and (at night) rather lonely walk along the footpath to North Camp itself.I mean, Rushmoor itself isn’t particularly nice, yes.
But most of the stations are reasonably decent. Apart from North Camp which is a bit exposed
I mean, the worst must be Winnersh Triangle in Berks. Only 108 to go!
Yeah, there's worse in the region, but's it's up there. Would be less bad if it had a better nightlife tbh.Basingstoke is terrible for anti social behaviour.
The issue with that is that North Camp's biggest passenger flow is generally towards Guildford way as I remember, although I left the SE a few years ago so things might have changed. A better waiting room on the other platform would make a lot of sense, it's not exactly a lesser used stations compared to Bagshot, which is pretty quiet outside of the peaks. The Reading bound platform at North Camp at least has the canopy and original building, though no enclosed waiting area (the building is now a dentist!). North Camp has the added "attraction" of the level crossing, which seems to close a long time before the trains arrive. Woe betide those needing to cross to the other platform who arrive late (I've seen people vault it several times, rather than miss the train).
Blackwater station, 50 metres or so, inside the Hants border, used to be very grim after dark as the lighting was very poor. It's far better now. Strangely enough, despite being only a few miles from North Camp, the flow towards Reading is the biggest by far.I mean, the worst must be Winnersh Triangle in Berks. Only 108 to go!

Blackwater maybe in the noughties yes, but the whole surrounding area is much nicer now.Blackwater station, 50 metres or so, inside the Hants border, used to be very grim after dark as the lighting was very poor. To be fair, In my opinion, I really do like Eastleigh station. Sure it has looked a little run down especially over that Island platform but the original buildings and footbridge are nice enoughHavant Station is pretty grim and run down, so is Southampton Central (as well as its' surrounding stations) and Portsmouth and Southsea as others have said.
Although I quite like North Camp station, the station can be grim in the dark evenings, especially when walking there through the footpath to the dingy industrial estate.
I've never found Eastleigh a nice station either, at least not from a travellers perspective.
