Just got back from walking the dogs, i was in a wood that used to be some railway sidings next to the Orgreave Colliery and Coke Ovens site in South Yorkshire, apart from all the usual railway evidence like sleepers and ballast there were also lots of these rubber pipes strewn around and i was just wondering if these were also from the pit railways, they are about 2 foot long and have a metal coil inside the rubber

Thanks.

they look remarkably like vacuum or water hoses (bags)

if they are not perished, I can think of several good homes for them!
