The YouTube user RailVintageTV has been building up a fairly diverse collection of old videos on his/her channel, mostly snippets of VHS tapes produced by RAIL magazine and others in the 1980s and 1990s.

This week the channel and user completely disappeared. Anyone know if someone been snagged for copyright infringement?

But who would hold the copyright to such videos? They looked professional, but who would be able to claim such a niche selection of recordings when the producers company may have long since vanished?

I'm not supporting copyright theft, but I did admire the content, I'm glad I was able to see them before they were removed.

Just googled the user name on youtube, looks like the account got closed:

This account has been terminated because we received multiple third-party claims of copyright infringement regarding material the user posted.
