Hi folks.

I have my DMI coming up and I am trying my best to research the company for the question 'What do you know about the company'.

What is the best way to find out about the company that will put me in a good position for the interview.

Anyone else had their DMI with Abellio Scotrail and been successful? What did you say?

They can be fully researched on the internet. When asked what i know about the company, I broke it down into 3 areas. Abellio, ScotRail then the depot that I was in for.

Can you remember what you said for each of the three topics - Abellio, Scotrail & the depot?

You can PM if you'd like.

Which depot are you based at?

It's a fairly open question. They asked what research I had done and what I know about the company.
It's really down to what you find out through internet, news articles and from depot visit.

I start training in 3 weeks, will be eventually based from Perth.

When I applied, May 2018, you specified which depot you wanted to apply for. If you are part of the open process then I would maybe suggest your local depot. Know class of trains, routes, staff numbers, platforms, investment etc. The more knowledge you have the more you can use during interview.
When it comes to abellio look at their history, ventures into UK railways, MD.
With regards to ScotRail I would suggest looking at projects, investment, electric lines, main lines, staff numbers. Only a suggestion and depends how much time you have to study and want the job.
These are only suggestions however ever in think it's better doing as much research as possible then can decide what to use.
I spent a couple of months doing research, 2 depot visits also, as it took a year from applying to being offered role.
