Which trains could replace GTR's class 313s?

Well. I read something that the 313s are going to be replaced by Electrostars but it was mentioned as unspecified. I wonder which Electrostars will be replacing the 313s?

I'm guessing mostly 377/3s but with some 377/1 and /4 action as well. The 377/5s will just be added to the pool of electrostars and won't be allocated for specific routes.

There aren't sufficient 387s to support any long BML route, which is why they usually run in short formations and on the coast

Thanks for the clarification. Based off limited progress on the 701 introduction (which then sets off a chain reaction) , it did seem unlikely the /5s would enter service so soon.

They can couple mechanically but they have different PIS so cannot work in passenger services
