Where did you get that nugget from? It's slightly at variance to the OP's post in which he say's that the sign told him they left from stop U.

Well, well, well, the plot thickens.

I spoke to a colleague yesterday who caught the RRB from Romford yesterday morning. It arrived at Stratford at 05.50 and did not wait until the advertised departure time (06.03), but left a couple of minutes after arriving. The bus also stopped in the main Stratford bus station, so neither at stop U or stop X.
He also told me it was a Redwings coach, rather than a service bus from TfL put into RRB service.

Now, last Sunday, I did see a Redwings coach. But it had no indication that it was on RRB service, and it was at bus stop W, which is the stop for coaches to Stansted, so I assumed that was what it was for.
