Where is the widest railway as in the most tracks side by side?

I'll start with the SEML between Grove Park and Hither Green where I think there is a few metres with 27:

8 up side sidings
5 main line
1 down side train wash
8 down side sidings
5 in the freight sidings (?)

Clapham Junction depending on what you consider side by side

I think you could draw a straight line over the railway around Wembley Yard that would cross over more than 50 lines, or more than 60 if you include the London Underground lines and depot at Stonebridge Park.

Basford Hall must be knocking on for 50. However a more interesting answer would be running lines rather than sidings.

I agree. Potentially just west of Stratford. Two ‘electric’ lines, two ‘main’ lines, two ‘Bow’ lines, two Overground lines and the DLR. Maybe central line counts too!

That's what first came to mind for me. For running lines Clapham Junction screams out, with London Bridge-Bricklayers' Arms/Blue Anchor a close second.

When Toton yards (both the up and down sides) were in full swing, the width was something like 85 lines (five of these being the main running lines).

At London side of Clapham Junction, have 12 running lines (but with yard reception lines between) 4 on Windsor side, the yard lines, 4 SW main lines and the 4 to Victoria.

You can strictly add 2 more each side for short distance, (those serving platform 2 and 16 and 17) but these curve off so not strictly side by side of others

I agree with this. Down Carriage to Down Fast is (I think) 38 lines so adding DCs, wheel lathe depot, LUL depot can’t be many many wider.

Around Bermondsey St James Road on the approach to London Bridge. Always seemed v. Large in real life.
Widest number of running lines side-by-side at any point on the approach to London Bridge is 12, at Southwark Park Road overbridge, so equal first with the Clapham Jn stretch (discounting yard lines).
