Hi everyone,

I have made it through to the interview stage for shunter driver in bletchley. There is very limited information out there, I know starting salary is 38k, does anyone know the pay scales? If there even is an increase in wage after time?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Apologies I should of said, it's west midlands trains.
Are you sure the role involves driving?

It may just be a Depot Operation Controller (DOC) as unless its a new role they don't have shunt drivers.

Well it's what I applied for online.. it definitely says shunter driver 38k. Just wondered if the wage did increase.. as I am taking a pay cut to join up

You may find that is the base without shift premiums etc. A question to ask at the interview stage if they don't offer the information before then.

I’m starting a ground shunter role (non driving) soon and I can say that my salary is less than this advert is offering but I agree with Ducatist4 - this ad doesn’t mention driving that I can see.

Sorry if this isn’t posted in the right place!
I see West Midlands trains had Shunter vacancies and the basic salary was 25000 but with additional shift payments.. does anyone know what the shifts payments are and if there are any other allowances that I would of got! Just want to understand what I could be making potentially if I was to take the jump!

Thank you
