Hi
Is there anyone that could shed some light on the above depot please, i.e, routes, traction, start/finish times, roster patterns and link progression, if poss.

I'm a qualified driver already, but would I have to start off on the 53k for the first year, then go on to the 61K when implemented in next years pay rise.
I asked this because if successful, the time you have had your interviews, 3 months notice, it would not fall short of the new wage structure.

The last question !!!
I was looking at relocating from London. Getting lazy in my older age and wanting to be near the depot (looking ahead now) what is Worcester like area wise. I was looking around a 3 mile radius.

Thanks in advance

Yes, you will come in on 90% rate.

Work is all IETs, mainly to London. Think they sign via Gloucester and via Oxford

Hiya, can’t tell you much about GWR’s operations at shrub hill as I’m doing my training based from there with WMT but Worcester it’s self is a nice place with plenty of other beautiful places near by. As with any city there are some crap parts and nice parts close to the centre. I’d maybe look a little further afield than 3 miles as that’s where the really nice parts are (Hallow and great Whitley are great places within a short commute) Overall not a bad area to spend the latter part of your career.

Used to work in the Worcester area. There's lots of nice small villages and towns nearby, some of which have been rated some of the best places to live in the UK (Wychavon). Living costs are much cheaper compared to London, although not as cheap as some areas due to the proximity to the Cotswold.

Worcester as itself stacks up as a pretty decent city with most of the major amenities you'd want although you might need to go to Bristol / Birmingham for bigger events and such.

Hi,

I'm also thinking of applying for this, have you applied yet?

Cheers

I did and have passed the application and the assessment process.

Thanks everyone...I'll have another look at Rightmove..lol.

The only thing that puts me off, is the pay reduction. Its a big drop from my pay now, but Its only for a year. I would have to eat bread and jam for a year, if I had to rent and keep my other house until sold, but still durable.

Cheers Guys.

Worcester sign Hereford - Paddington via Oxford and Cheltenham. They also sign Cheltenham - Bristol Parkway - Swindon.

Traction is IETs only.
