XC Voyagers - One Unit or Two?

I have been travelling York -> Derby and back once a week for nearly 2 years now. As of the May 2025 timetable change, my preferred southbound service (1V46) is now a 5-car instead of 8 or 9. (It's now scheduled to use Leeds platform 12C, rather than 12 - meaning an 8-car won't fit since it stops short of the mid-platform crossover.)

So my query is this; how can I find out which services are diagrammed as two coupled Voyager sets, and which are one? I could then adjust my travel times to have the higher chance of getting a seat.

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. The downside of such a well-used and informative forum is that the right information could be buried several hundred pages down! Mods- please move if necessary. Thanks in advance.

Real time trains is a good place as it shows the allocations on the day for Cross Country (and other participating companies). 1V44 and 1V48 are most likely be a double set now with the latter timetabled to split when it arrives at Plymouth.

Link to departures for Cross Country departures from Leeds today with the number of coaches on the right hand side.

I'd also add that the platform at Leeds may now be because the train is shorter. If XC bid for a longer service a longer platform would be found. Very rare something is declined due to lengthening.

Yes, I wasn't implying that the train HAD TO be shorter because the only platform available for it was 12C; merely that, because it WAS now timetabled into 12C, it must be diagrammed as a 5-car set.
Thanks for the replies.

The reason 1V46 is now a single set is that there's now a new 0624(1v82) York - Reading.
