G'day
Typing on this keyboard is hell at the moment, as repeately a Yahoo mail pop-up will appear directing me to http://uk.mail.yahoo.com/
I belive it is something to do with a HP Pavillon redirect button.
Has anyone else experienced/is experiencing these problems? And does anyone have any solutions, as my keyboard has been dangerously close to being thrown out the window on various occasions!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

I run a HP Pavilion tower system (as you do), with Internet Explorer 9 and I use Google Chrome as my browser. I have a British Telecom home hub system which gave me BT Yahoo Mail as my e-mail system as part of my package.

I know that Yahoo Mail was running a BETA system that they were asking people to try, but I would NEVER install any BETA system until it was fully tested and officially launched.

I note in the pop-up that is shown in the thread link you submitted, there is mention made of the integration of Live Messenger into Yahoo Mail.

Do you have Live Messenger installed on your system and do you use this? It may well be that this pop-up will appear on all users of Live Messenger. I deliberately do not use Live Messenger as have no need to avail myself of the facilities, having more superior ones installed by my computer engineer. This could be the reason why this pop-up has never appeared on my system. I can well imagine your anger and annoyance at this constant interuption whilst using your computer.

@90019 A HP keyboard, not sure how much detail you want.

Thanks for the reply, I do not have or use Live Messanger. Curiously the same pop up happens every year, except this year it seems to be more persistent and reluctant to go away.

If that's the wireless one, then I used to have one of them.

Try resetting the connection between the keyboard and the reciever, that sorted it a couple of times for me.
Unfortunately as it was a couple of years back, I can't remember what the other fixes were.

I doubt such would be the case as Live Messenger is Microsoft, and Yahoo! is... well, Yahoo!.

Can I be so bold as to refer you to part of my earlier posting that referred to the pop-up information made a statement including the wording:-

"...............the integration of Live Messenger into Yahoo Mail"

I can only state that whilst the point you make is self-explanatory, this wording seems to show a conjunction between products from two differing companies.
