Is Pen Mill managed by GWR or has it recently changed to SWR?

Some GWR stations such as Romsey were transferred over so was wondering if the same had happened with Pen Mill.

I think Pen Mill's station lampposts may have been painted in new SWR colours recently, also fitted with TRT Aspect lamps (SWR spec) instead of DWW Kirium Pro (GWR spec).

I'm happy to be corrected if I am mistaken about this, cheers for any help

Yeovil Pen Mill is one of those stations where the responsible Network Rail route is not the one you’d expect, the line and stations from just south of Castle Cary to Dorchester come under Wessex Route, so it is probably them who will decide on hardware such as station lighting.

That’s a separate issue to which TOC manages a station. The two stations between Romsey and Salisbury were logically transferred because SWT ran the whole service, Romsey was a bit of a 50/50 decision but it followed on because it would have then been remote from GWR’s usual area.

But given there are only GWR services running on the Heart of Wessex line, through from Bristol etc, there’s no logical reason for the managing TOC to change. There’s another branch of GWR’s operating area with a similar split of responsibility, the North Downs line is also part of NR’s Wessex Route.

GWR operate most of the services at Yeovil Pen Mill and as others have said, GWR manage all the stations between Castle Cary and Dorchester West on the Wessex line down to Weymouth.
