Please can someone tell me the cheapest way to get from York - Liverpool. Depart tomorrow between 14.00 and 16.00. Return Sunday departing between 13.00 and 15.00. 1 adult, no railcard. Thanks in advance.

I very much doubt there is a cheap advance fare left.

You can possibly save a little money by splitting at St Helens Junction, but it's not really worth it (especially on Sunday, as there is no fast train).

The coach from Leeds to Liverpool is not much slower than the train and there should still be cheap tickets available.
