When I was a child in the 1960s my family would regularly take the United Counties 61 bus from Luton to Aylesbury. The red, black and duck egg green livery of the City of Oxford buses I saw there was so much more impressive than the bland Tilling green livery of United Counties.
The main airport approach road and part of Vauxhall Way near the airport are closed. Traffic all around Luton is chaos this morning, took me an hour to get to work instead of the usual 30 minutes.
The Farmers Boy is in Kensworth on the road between Markyate and Whipsnade. It was a terminus on some journeys on the 364a from Luton and is still a timing point on Centrebus services 40 and 40a from Dunstable to Whipsnade.
Yes, it's the old parcel siding. There used to be a Red Star parcels office and a road van loading bay approximately where the taxi drop off point is now. I remember there were always a couple GUV parcels vans parked in the siding during the day, which I assume were picked up overnight.

I often see a Green Line 757 coach on Arriva Luton local service 24/25 heading out of town in the morning peak. There are two large colleges on the north side of time and they run extras during term time.
Before lockdown I travelled from London to De Panne via Brussels using the Eurostar any Belgian station ticket. A relaxed journey with time for a leisurely lunch in Brussels.
The Stagecoach MK1 service from Bedford to Milton Keynes via Luton Airport takes 2 hours 35 minutes compared to the direct X5 service which takes 49 minutes
This was 'shortage of drivers' on Thameslink, what was particularly galling was that locals to St Albans & Luton were running more or less normally but all the Bedford trains were cancelled. My station is between Luton and Bedford
