This site (in French) gives useful information about public transport in Paris during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. In particular the following station will be closed:
  • Métro 1 :
  • « Champs-Elysées – Clémenceau » – du 01/07 au 21/09
    « Concorde » « Tuileries » – du 17/06 au 21/09
  • Métro 8 : « Concorde » – du 17/06 au 21/09
  • Métro 12 : « Concorde » – du 17/05 au 21/09
  • Métro 13 : « Champs-Elysées – Clémenceau » – du 01/07 au 21/09
  • Tramway T2 : « Porte d'Issy » et « Porte de Versailles » – du 25/07 au 11/08 et du 29/08 au 07/09
  • Tramway T3a : « Porte de Versailles » – du 25/07 au 11/08 et du 29/08 au 07/09
  • Tramway T3b : « Colette Besson » – du 27/07 au 10/08 et du 29/08 au 08/09
Avoid Paris at all cost at the Games time, unless you are a very devoted sports fan,

That and the colossal increase to ticket prices are keeping me well away.

I keep hearing about this but haven't seen a good source, do you have one? (I am not sure if they are just pushing pricier options, like they always have with Paris Visite, or if it would really cost more to top up a Navigo weekly ticket.

The prices are actually increasing. All details here: https://www.iledefrance-mobilites.fr/actualites/tarification-jo-paris-2024

Navigo day and week tickets will not be sold during the period 20•JLY•24 to 08•SEP•24. Monthly tickets will be available at the normal price.

Thank you! In my opinion the weekly pass has been too cheap so I don't mind paying the extra, just hope it will be straight forward (going to the Paralympics and Disneyland and staying in-between!)

I will be in Paris the week before the Olympics start and a few days before. The hotel prices seem surprisingly cheap. I will leave Paris the day before it official starts, I might be a bit mad but it is the only time I can go :(
