Stagecoach South West - Fleet News & Discussion

I believe Tiverton or Exeter run a contract to Bridgwater for workers early in the morning, the middle of the day and the evening. This could work well for some driver changes and break cover.

The old 333 could be full at times as could the 300 personally seeing loadings pre covid the 103 would have been better suited as Birmingham to Southampton with connections across the south coast via Bristol.

From the threemilestone end could it be an opportunity for the U1/U1A T1/2 and other services to call into the site providing a regular service into Truro servicing the collage and hospital too?

If you changed the road layout it would as a driver would have to think before turning

The issue I've heard is that it's not making enough money. The UWE diversion should help with this.

When the route first started didn't a driver go passenger to the airport to cover breaks into and out of Bristol? Maybe a Bristol driver could do the airport to the centre which would allow for a break. It would also reduce delays in Bristol on turn around.

Better still they could have been creative with it and had it run up and terminate at Patchway Station to create a link between the station and parkway 1676203524 I expect trains need replacing some where

It's a long detour in the wrong direction for Parkway. I've been noticing a lot of people using it onto places such as the UWE and onwards. I guess the M4 will cover that but isn't any use to anyone who isn't going to walk far to get on the M1. The Hayes Way stop could have been good to use on a...

Loadings on the 19 are quite decent as well at the moment between parkway and Cribbs, with people regularly waiting In Charlton Hayes. The change will mean a long winded trip via Cribbs to get to Parkway. Also, why doesn't the m4 call at the stops in Hayes way until the new estate is open?

Pre Covid, I remember that for two years running during the Reading Festival, First would run empty from Truro up to Bristol double crewed, operate a duplicate on the 08:15 040 on the Monday morning before returning as a 504. Previous years saw them providing 330 dupes from Birmingham to...

I would expect what will happen is 376 379 and one of 173 or 174 will work in a cycle

Dropping either frees up drivers from Wells to take back the Norton Radstock work fully while bath get more drivers for uni work. Simply moving Chilcompton onto the 174 and extending the 172 hourly to Wells via the A37 and 173 route would prob do exactly the same

That was the 041 which ran Friday to Monday with a regular driver before covid. The regular driver on it saw it go from a handful of people to being regularly full leaving Bath with the return from London also being almost full. I'm surprised it never returned.

I notice a lot of changes coming up in a few weeks in Somerset. I guess we will need to wait for more info. Some timetables on traveline already. It looks like the 29 is cut back to run Glastonbury / Street to Taunton. Also a service 55 looks like its being introduced or maybe even re...

    Megabus discontinue various routes

The 101, 102, 104s are normally but they cover some mileage to get those loads. The 100s really do seem quiet.
