Perhaps. It just seems sad to see modern euro 6 buses go when there’s E300s in much worse condition. There was talk that some E300s were going off lease but not sure if that was just a rumour?

It seems madness that First are actually selling off E200MMCs that are some of the more modern diesel buses they have in the fleet. Especially being shorter they’re perfect for quieter routes. I wonder if First Glasgow have longer term plans to make Lanarkshire locals electric with Blantyre...

More than likely to be the 68/19 plate diesels as they can balance out the age profile in certain areas.

I too was hoping we would have heard something to replace the ageing B9TLs not add to them! The E300s are nice enough buses but are definitely showing their age now. They could be doing with an internal refurb.

First should have just opted for electric buses like they have with Glasgow and their other subsidiaries.

It is bizarre to think that there are hydrogen buses which were delivered in 2020 and have barely seen service in nearly four years.

Perhaps with the new Glasgow electric livery being introduced - First don’t want too many different liveries flying around in Glasgow.

Blantyre is getting EV charging ports so I imagine some sort of electric order is going to follow otherwise they wouldn’t bother. Plus the B9TLs will be coming up for renewal in the very near future so they’ll require a pretty big order to replace them - no doubt new generation E400EVs making...

The new livery is miles better than the urban livery. It has so much more character and it’s very striking unlike its predecessor. Having a standard livery will prevent the constant cycle of repaints too.

Repaints seem to be never ending at Glasgow they will have so many electric buses to paint now!

If they are covering for delayed Electroliners then I imagine they’ll return to Glasgow. However, with Blantyre going electric and the B9TLs ageing - I wouldn’t be too surprised if Glasgow sees a big order of new generation E400EVs in the near future. It’s very common for new buses to push...

A number have gone to Aberdeen from Dumbarton but Scotstoun have retained most of theirs. I’m sure many were due to go off lease last year but I don’t think that happened? Hopefully a big order is announced soon to replace the B9TLs.

It will probably be repaired. The bus is only about 11 years old and the damage doesn’t look that bad.

First Glasgow went through a period of their diesels all catching fire. So far touch wood nothing with our EVs.

There was talk of 15 ex-Manchester E400s for Glasgow, however the E400s seem to be for Aberdeen to standardise the fleet.

I just hope a new electric order is announced soon to replace the B9TLs altogether. Not a fan of Glasgow seeing cast offs.

Now there’s 70+ B9TLs needing replaced in the not too distant future.

A few of Scotstoun’s E400s were loaned to Caley last week so I assume that’s where the E400s will go. If it was the 14 plates it would be a bit of a full circle moment. It’s been ages since Glasgow saw cast offs from down South. Not overly thrilled about seeing 12 year old buses in Glasgow...
