Just seen a picture of a Class 47 in a maroon and gold livery on Facebook - Continental Railway Solutions. Anybody tell us anything about who they are and what they do please?

From a bit of poking around, seems to be a Hungarian charter firm that has, oddly, bought 47375 to export for use their on luxury trains.

Five class 47s - 47701, 47703, 47744, 47488 and 47375 - are reportedly being tarted up and exported to Hungary to work for Continental Railway Solution. They appear to run some sort of luxury dining train, though I'm not sure if this is what the 47s are being procured to work.

We start a new premium train named Continental Classic Express. We would like to present a new experience with this unique train. The Continental Classic Express offers the experience of the classic trains of the 60s, it will evoke the atmosphere of this golden age of rail travel.

who owns those 47's? Who owns this company? Is it an off shoot of whoever exported all of those 86/87? all a bit odd!

I read something a while back that some of the train that is being used is former Trans Europe Express stock.

Pictures on the CRS Facebook page of 47375 on the back of a low loader from Burton for export today. Still no word what it is a solution to though...

Seems to me like a trip to Hungary is needed...

Always worth a visit, certainly not for some duff though. Or cans for that matter!

What about the grids?

Plenty of EU traction I like there too; Tauruses, TRAXXes, oh my!
