Hello,

I'm wanting to travel STP - SIT on 31/08 returning 02/09. Am I able to get a Weekender ticket for this? I've searched on Southeastern's website and I'm a bit confused if you can get a weekender ticket on High Speed services. Also, if this is possible, does anyone know the cost of it and if 16-25 railcard is accepted?

Thanks!

£25 for the Plus High Speed version according to BRfares. The same ticket doesn't show when the 16-25 railcard is entered which suggests the railcard isn't accepted.

With a 16-25 Railcard, it appears that the Off Peak Return at £17.80 (route: Plus High Speed) would be better value.

Valid after 0930 on the Friday 31/08 just like the Weekender.

But I'm wanting to get a weekend ticket? Travel on Friday return on Sunday. You can't do that with a standard return?

Am I correct that these "weekender" fares are a vestige of an earlier time? It seems that they are rarely if ever better value than an off-peak return/super off-peak return.

Are they available for shorter distance journeys where you can normally only buy day returns?

I am not aware of any flows which have a WK2 but not an SVR fare. Someone will no doubt be along in good time to make me aware though.
