Just booked on the Eurostar website an inclusive rail + hotel trip to Paris in November, all paid up front on OH's credit card. However I now see that they say you must present the card you booked with to collect your tickets at "the station" (which I'm presuming is St Pancras Int., not any old station?) min 45 minutes before departure to collect your tickets.

As the c/card expires at the end of October will this be okay? Is it just a security check?

Your credit card is only used to authorise the ticket collection.

However, it may be best just to contact Eurostar and make them aware, just to see what they say. They may suggest you take another card with you.

Thanks. If they'll accept a debit card that's no problem, but we only have the one credit card. Of course a replacement one should arrive before the current one expires, so if we take both we should be alright, I hope. It's all a bit academic as we'll have already paid, but I suppose they have their processes to follow.

Do you have to collect the tickets on the day of travel, or could we pick them up the night before? Wouldn't be such a rush in the morning then. Or is collection of tickets part of the check-in procedure, like at an airport?

You can pick them up in advance and turn up 30 mins before departure if you so wish. If you are passing by STP before the CC expires then it would also solve your problem.

Sadly not, we're only going to London the previous day and won't be there in the meantime. We'll pop over in the evening before our Eurostar trip and hopefully can sort out any complications then.

I booked via Eurostar on Friday and I was given a PDF download of my tickets and also the option to collect at St Pancras. This was for train only though. Might be worth checking your Eurostar account to see if you can print tickets off?

I second this. Although you often get a "this must be picked up at St Pancras" notice with a train+hotel booking, I've generally been able to print off an PDF anyway.
