S102 TNB was spotted today going between Preston and Southport NIS, i was on the X2 when i seen it and with it heading towards Southport and i have not seen it at Gillmoss the last couple of weeks its fair to say its been on loan there, Apparently its going to go on loan to Rock Ferry now to cover for 36820 and 21123 that are both VOR.

also at least 1 Olympian got out today on the 82/86/86c as a Trident Failed. apparently a 2nd olympian replaced 21250 on the X3

Apparently more of the ex-First Olympians are being reactivated at GM to cover for poor availability of B7RLEs.

36820 and 21123 both have accident damage.

I spent the day on Gillmoss routes and all apart from the 2 that are already in service where still on the withdrawn line, one of the serviceable ones was VOR with a fault but 66154 did get out on a School

managed to get the X8 yesterday from Preston - Windermere (14th June) We was lucky to get on it as there was only a few seats left on the top deck when we boarded, i expect one day we will be turned away as standing passengers is not allowed on the service, i think an extra trip should be added to cater for this high Volume of passengers.

myself along with 3 other mates plan to do it again on June 29th but this time continue onto Keswick Bus Station as some of us have never been before

If your asking me what i had on the X8 it was sluggish 15564, hope that dont get on there again as it was a joke

I think Chorley only have two tacho fitted E400s 15564 & 15565, so any trip on the X8 will be on ether of those two.

I travelled on the route last August (on 15565) and in a bid to beat the crowds I travelled from Bamber Bridge to Chorley on the 125 to then travel back up on the X8, this avoided boarding it in Bamber Bridge. I travelled as far as Windermere station were I took this picture of it on arrival, https://www.flickr.com/photos/davidsnwtransport/9537702032/in/set-72157628636048691

You can see from the picture the bus was really busy with very few seats available. I don't know if the route has ever had to have a second bus running it.

If thats the case they need to get a grip of these Buses as they really struggling up the slightest of hills and they cant get to a good speed even on the Motorway, We was over 15 Mins Late into Windermere coz of it all

Profile at Carlisle Volvo and the accident damaged one is out on the road. So what is the reason of the shortage at LL?

Too many buses packing up at the same time  47022 is another loan in, from Carlisle.

Sounds like the X8 is regularly late then, has anyone ever brought this to Stagecoach?[/QUOTE

Surely Stagecoach could draft in a couple of coaches that are designed for services like this and maybe offer a departure 2 hours later both ways which will spread the load and attract new custom. There is potential here for a daily all year round service, which could be extended to Manchester, and as now cards are not excepted, this service makes money.

Hi
Seems to be a far bit of activity at Willowholme London enviro 400s yesterday 18201 which is still parked at the rear of the depot today with 17519 and 17425. Today 17511 was being examined and two new 200s have arrived YX14 RZH/j 37104 was in fact on the 67 service most of today YX14RZJ was still on the depot without any fleet numbers. Also 22269 was working the 62 service yesterday and is on Another city service today

A recent issue of Notices and Proceedings for the North West area notes that Stagecoach North West has been granted an increase in vehicle authorisation at several depots, including Penrith, carnforth, and Kendal, to 420 vehicles. That's a hell of an amount of vehicles. So, what's this about? Surely not Commonwealth games?

Am not to sure if it would work with a full service however i would argue that the Buses being used are not suitable for the service and i would argue that an extra Trip is required as the current trip gets full deckers and can leave people behind as Standing is not allowed on the service

Bringing coaches in for 1 round trip per day in summer just isn't viable. Besides, there aren't coaches spare and Chorley doesn't have room.

The Tridents passing through Carlisle are on their way to Scottish depots for use at the Commonwealth Games.

I don't believe there's any particular reason for the increase in authorisation; just a case of making sure there's sufficient spare for any future service changes.

Carnforth ?, that news to me !, that stagecoach has a depot / outstation there !, and I have lived in Carnforth for over 10-years.

I've rechecked it, and it seems it's a new operating centre, though I kinda misread the thing. It's the Pennine garage at Ingleton, whose postal town is carnforth. The actual N&P entry is this

Literally just looks like they're making the authorisation at the outstations the same as/part of the main authorisation.

Hi
Another new enviro has arrived at Carlisle this morning YX14RZK however it's painted orange all over. Anyone an idea what this is for ? imagine it will become 37106 as 37105 was working the 60 service today after arriving yesterday. Three more London enviros have arrived today 17507/27/91 with 18201 still parked at the rear of the depot.

They London Tridents might be on their way to Scotland for the Commonwealth Games? A couple of London Tridents have already started to appear at the Blochairn Depot in Glasgow...

The Tridents are indeed on their way up to the Commonwealth Games.

37106 is to wear a special livery, for a cause that's been seen before ;)
