SC need more of those. Considering there's only to two of them, you see them everywhere- it's like some sort of cloning experiment.
Which would be good, except they're always travelling the other way, taunting you....

Normally the 2 *Blue Deckers* are hard to get, with one being on Staff Shuttles a lot and then they often just get put on schools, i was the first of my friend group to get a ride of P725 GND.

I do hope they get repainted as they look worn out but saying that with the DDA date not that far away do they really need a repaint?

I've recently seen several Optare Versa's working alongside Double Deckers on service 68 to/from Blackpool, is this now the norm?

The two Blue Decker's can regular be found working Services 5 Overton - Morecambe - Carnforth, and service 51 Lancaster - The Kellets - Carnforth.

you 2 must of had more luck than we have as they never seem to get out when we come up

I would also like to know how Stagecoach Gillmoss are coping considering they got loads of Buses VOR they seem to be still managing to run a Full Service and have managed to keep their Step Volvo Olympians in the Depot (and on Schools only)

apparently 20906 that was withdrawn at Kendal has gone for scrap, can anyone confirm this?

Yep, picked up by Wigleys the other day.

That incident at Sandside was the cause of its demise. A good bus, but not one that could swim!

Cheers for the information

Today things at Gillmoss looked really dire, Darts on every 10C board bar 1 that was a Solo (normally at least 3 Solo's) Alexander Pointer Darts was also on the 10A, 14, 14A, 20 and 21! You can tell a mile of theres a huge shortage on Buses yet still every Duty does have a Bus.

34792 also Broke down on the 10A not even an Hour ago and passengers was put onto my Bus. Dno what was wrong with it as it was my Bus to Liverpool this morning and performed amazing compared to other Darts at the Depot.

Heard an engine noise I hadn't heard since my days in Kent and Sussex as a Dart passed me by into Chapel Street (Lancaster) this week. Had read the odd mention on here but can't remember where. Is that a permanent allocation?

I lived near Hastings for a few years in the nineties where it was crawling with Darts. "The bus of the moment" back then. For Stagecoach anyway. Though I don't know if Southdown owned any before they were bought out. Still, I digress. Carry on.

We had 34079 from kendal but the engine blew as it was going into service, probably keep 33397 til all the bypass and water works have been done.

I think the first generation Southern ones got a bit "Hot and Bothered" from time to time.

Not been a good start for Stagecoach Gillmoss on the 10A this morning, 27718 and 27722 have both already failed on the service and MAN Enviro 24159 is riding around with the back seat damaged making 3 of the 5 seats un useable, its also funny as 24159 is route branded for the 20/21...

Would it be unusual for an Alexander Dennis Dart SLF to work out of Preston on Service 68?

I witnessed 34814 around 12pm heading towards Blackpool.

On VOSA today Stagecoach are to introduce an X8 Service from Liverpool - Chester, not sure what Depot will operate the Service and oddly the Registration says its a Sunday - Saturday Service, not sure if thats a mistake or if they count Sunday the start of the week and it will be a 7 Day Service.

28531 has gone back to GM after being on loan at CY due to 22257 having a new engine.
16653 will moved back to GM shortly as its no longer required at CY.

20794 is covering golf replacments as is 15569, 17019 and 15839 from CY untill Sunday.

PR are also sending vehicles which will mean a varied allocation on all services through this week at PR.
