Coach E :|

Lets hope SC is not leading to Weymouth so I have a chance for some heads out on the return trip.

I would prefer two, would mean the two would have to work harder and thus louder compared to 3.

Accepted.
Won't be doing much window hanging or flailing on this tour, nice relaxed day out for me this will be :)
Gotta be seeing as I'm bringing along a normal!

Yes but that isn't stopping me is it Jamie ;)

Quite a few members going on this. Unlucky that your in coach E, but I'm sure you'll see me out of a window in coach D. Where you boarding the tour?

Oxford with Jamie and 2 of his mates. I will try and get up as close as possible, as I try anyway ;). That's why I want SC to be at the rear! So I have a better chance at getting a window on the way back ;)

More of a Ned than a thrash merchant then? Singles are the way forward 8-)

You'll always find me in Coach A/B of any tours I do - I do have preferences when it comes to certain loco types though!

Coach E is right in the middle of the train :) 8)

Only in 1 direction

Ah correct :wink. Anyone want to give me a flail across Poole Harbour?, (right after Parkstone on the left of the train, the loud horns will give you a clue!).

Yep, I only ever do 37 tours and book via KG which means i'm always in coach A, still found out what its like to suffer E when I nooked via someone else on the Spitfire tour, still a good laugh though, created an absoulte riot, screamed at some chavs round that piffling cumbrian bit and gave a well known fare evader a bit of stick as well as filling a certain person bag with marmalade, so all in all a good day. Didn't see you for some top thrash over Edale out the front window on the first FC coach (Paget Palace out of bounds) last week, top stuff, load 13 and a dead 401, hammered it into to the ground. 8-)

And 240 was rather entertaining from the front compo today up Berwyn Bank, ruined a few freeloaders pictures with some good bellowing so a good day all round :)

The chavs on their bikes on the platform at Whitehaven? I was in coach B but moved to coach J before it got dark/cold. I couldn't hear much even from coach B .

Well i had e-mailed Spitfire before after the 87 farce and they said they would garutee us seats at the back of coach A or front of Coach B but we still managed to end up in the middle of E, still good though as we had opening windoes at our seats, perfect for giving the normals the gen 8-)

Yep think it was there but there was also a nice selection of treats elsewhere 8-) Was in the 2nd bay of A on the Compass tour last week and couldn't here much, managed the front window for a bit on the outward and then went up to FC for a fix on the rtn

Did you or whoever booked mention this on the booking form when you/they booked?

Didn't need to send another booking form as one had gone for the 87 tour, which just transfered out bookings across and requested near the front but didn't get it, saved £7 though 8-)

Ah Ok. Well coach C is near enough to the front for me anyway. Got coach A last year to Paignton on the Compass Tour without requesting it

No idea, I was actually expecting the Cargo-D set but at New Street the 47s turned up with a full anglia rake (except for one virgin coach) complete with DBSO.

Should only be about 8 coaches, limited load tour cos the platforms at Weymouth can only hold 12 total so 3+8 = 11 not to mention allowing for safe minimum distance from the stops.
No it doesn't stop you or TM from flailing, I personally won't be doing much!

3 locos
9 coaches
1 staff coach

Total 13. Not possible to have a staff coach on board, it'll exceed the limit at Weymouth

Not 3 locos now apparently. Better with 2...more thrash (even if they are 20's).

Where'd you get this information, because it's not on the Spitfire Railtours site
I will not reveal my source, but at this current point in time, the gen is kosher. Given the weather forecast, there will be some kind of rancid heat producing device on the back (a duff contraption or ronnie).

Saves me having to wear 2 pairs of socks on the train! A pair and some heat sounds fine by me.
