Trains routed via slightly rare track at Wigan later this month

For anyone who likes doing rare / uncommon / difficult bits of track.

On 11/12/18/19 April 2015, Southport - Manchester trains are routed from Wigan Wallgate onto the WCML, and thence via Golborne Jn and the Chat Moss route.

Buses are in use for journeys via Bolton or Atherton.

Given that there is a choice of two routes between Crow Nest Jcn. and Manchester, is the work taking place on the section through Ince and Hindley up to Crow Nest?

Given that there is a choice of two routes between Crow Nest Jcn. and Manchester, is the work taking place on the section through Ince and Hindley up to Crow Nest?

Looks like the closure is Salford Crescent-Euxton Jn/Wigan Wallgate.
So work could be taking place anywhere on these routes (notably at Farnworth of course).
Salford Crescent-Victoria/Ordsall Lane appear to be open for some ECS workings.
