Not necessarily rail related, but mine is... my genius sister has given me a book called Railway Day Trips - 150 classic train journeys around Britain. Author is Julian Holland, publisher Collins.

I'm thrilled to bits with it, eat your heart out Bradshaw!

I got that, but it looks to me like it's just more or less a list of terminus to terminus journeys.

Whilst I'm still not entirely sorted out, I'm going to say that my favourite present is the cuddly rabbit my girlfriend gave me. While it's not one I would have bought myself, it's what it represents more than what it is.

I've got a Bradshaw's diary. In the theme of the original, but has space to write in the bash from a particular day!

I am currently readjusting to my new keyboard (logitech g510s if anyone cares) but my only railway related gift was a pair of socks with various states of semaphore signals depicted on them!

surely, the best present would be if someone bought you an 14 day all line rover?

 Well yes, but I'm a bit short on rich relatives this year :( .

I was wondering whether there is such thing as a one year ALR, and if so how much might it cost? Could be worth re-mortgaging the house for...

You could rent your house out for a year to pay for the annual ALR

I got a 1.3kg jar of Jelly Beans........hell yeah

I was aghast at the price of jelly beans, can't remember where I saw them but about £14 for a not-that-enormous jar.

Don't eat them all at once!

Hello offspring of indeterminate gender

Lol I was a bit obscure there - I meant potentially hello daddy next year, if you use the home made thingies  .

I got some new socks and some FCUK gift-boxes.

Default presents from my family as I didn't ask for anything (as I didn't need anything).

I got a Spock mask, a Phasor, a Communicator, some Star Trek books, a portable game console, a snowglobe with a working wind-up railway inside (really nice), a robot bug with it's track, a nice red t-shirt, a Triceratops, the best cufflinks ever, an airplane simulator game & a few others.

Cheesy but whatever my dad gets me every year because it means he is still here. And up until 10 years ago what my mum got me to. If my dad just got me a woolly hat I would love it.

I received a hardback version of a Bradshaws - 1861 version I think, but not particularly pocket sized!
Also received a MiFi device which I hope to use when out and about travelling too

I don't think I received anything else rail related

Got a wireless DVD drive for the new laptop and a USB floppy drive (although I did order both of them).

Spending Christmas with my family and girlfriend was the best present I could have asked for.

Since I didn't have a boyfriend to spend Christmas with (Gay, just in case anyone is wondering), the Samsung Galaxy S6 + Galaxy Tab 4 upgrade bundle or a whole bundle of new clothes are tied for the best presents I got this year.

Nobody is perfect... Well, I am of course

Seriously though, and please don't take this the wrong way, I don't care you're gay
